The Portsmouth Historic Sites’ 2018 “Life and Death in the Piscataqua Region” symposium includes four presentations: ·         Sandra Rux, “Reinventing Benning Wentworth” and how research can change interpretation ·         Jim Craig, “Fitz Henry Lane and his Portsmouth Painting ·         Barbara Ward, Grace Tabor, garden designer ·         Lainie McCartney, Portsmouth Historical Society curator,  “Gertrude Fiske: American Master” The annual event, a fund-raiser for the Portsmouth Historic Sites, will also include raffle baskets and the sale of additional items from PHHA members: Historic New England and the Gov Langdon, Jackson and Rundlet-May Houses, Strawbery Banke Museum, the John Paul Jones House Museum, the Warner House, Wentworth-Coolidge Mansion, the Moffatt-Ladd House and Garden, the Wentworth-Gardner House, the USS Albacore and the Gundalow.
